Sony's New Football Game Direction

With no NFL license, Sony Computer Entertainment America is going a different route with their next football game. Sony's new simulation, Road to Sunday, has you taking over a professional football team that must win games in order to pay back debt to a Jamaican kingpin - no lie! Road to Sunday also incorporates gambling, training, an underground fighting league and other extra options. Sony will release Road to Sunday exclusively for the Playstation 2 this winter.

EA To Debut Next-Gen Madden During NFL Draft

Electronic Arts will debut a 60 second advertisement during Saturday's NFL Draft. The commercial will appear during ESPN's coverage of the April 23rd draft. EA will show actual game footage for their next-generation Madden Football game that will appear on the Xbox 2.

EA Gets Another Exclusive Deal

First it was the NFL. Then it was ESPN. Later it was the Arena Football League. Now, Electronic Arts has signed a six-year exclusive deal with the Collegiate Licensing Company to produce college football games using official teams, stadiums and schools. No financial terms were disclosed. NCAA Football 2006 will be the first game released under the new agreement.

Connery Returns As 007

Sean Connery will return as 007 in EA's new Bond game, From Russia With Love. Connery will lend his likeness and voice to the project. Other actors from the second James Bond film that starred Connery will also appear in the game. From Russia With Love is set for a fall 2005 release on the GameCube, Xbox and Playstation 2.
